You might remember this map from an earlier lesson. It is based on
Claudius Ptolemy's perception of the world nearly 2000 years ago.
This map, as well as the other maps you have viewed in this course,
shows us some of the ways that people have organized information
about the world. Without consciously thinking about it, each of us
mentally organizes our own view of the world.
