Two main branches of geography

There are the two main branches of geography, but neither branch stands completely alone since each branch has a large influence on the other. The activity below is similar to the one you just saw. Click the key term cue in light green to review the full term and definition.

As you might have noticed, several of the six essential elements of geography fit into both branches of geography. Although there is not a clear line of division between the two branches, they do have some significant differences. However, in this course we will be concentrating on geography in general terms, so you will be studying basic material from both branches of geography. You will be expected to identify the six elements and match them to their components. Use the flashcards above to practice memorizing the information.
