As alarming as the storm was to the people of Utah, it does not compare to the tornados of Florida. Figure 4.6.4 shows the number of tornados confirmed in Florida from 1950 to 1995. Figure 4.6.5 shows the number of deaths recorded. As you look at the graphs, keep in mind that the number of tornados that occurred probably didn't increase by much; what increased was the number of tornados that were observed and reported.
