Huge Mountain Glaciers

Ice, which is another form of water, has changed the surface of the earth. During the ice age huge glaciers experienced cycles of melting and freezing that pushed the glaciers across the land. The ice gouged and cut the earth's surface. The result is mountain peaks and valleys. Glaciers still exist in the higher latitudes, particularly near the poles, as well as in high altitudes, and the movement of the glaciers as they melt is still changing the face of the world.
