Part of controlling your spending is committing to always live on less than you earn. If you have problems living on less than you earn, cut up your credit cards. If nothing else works, use the envelope method of budgeting. The envelope method involves placing money for each budget category in an envelope. When the cash in the envelope for a particular budget category is gone, you have nothing more to spend in that category.
