FREE online courses on Quality Management System - How to Implement ISO 9000 Quality Management System - Phase 5 Registration After four to six weeks of stable operation, the performance is reviewed jointly by the consultant, management representative and Quality Council and appropriate action is taken for: Step12 Selection of the registrar Once the confidence is gained on successful implementation of the Quality System, with the help of consultant an appropriate Quality System Registrar is selected. Step 13 Application for registration An application is filed to the Registrar for the initiation of registration process. Step 14 External audit by the registrar After examination of the documents, a final assessment of functioning of quality system is conducted by licensed auditors deputed by the registration body. Step 15 Registration After the quality audits and completion of satisfactory corrective actions, if every thing is found in compliance of applicable standard, finally a Certificate of Registration is granted by the registration agency to the company. Registration is generally valid for three years, subjected to continual maintenance of requirements for certification. After the grant of registration a surveillance audit is conducted by the registration body at a frequency of at least once in every six months.
