Describe the governmental agency that regulates the company and describe the relationship with the government.  Most Venture Capitalists can tell stories about excruciating experiences with a government agency that had one of their portfolio companies tied in red tape for months or even years, and which, in some cases, destroyed the company.

 

If your business comes under a great deal of governmental regulation, you will have to use extra persuasion to convince the Venture Capitalist that you know how to operate in a regulated environment.
