FREE online courses on Is Your Team Effective - You As A Team Member - Case Study

Nikhil headed up the new venture team within his company and came up with an idea for a line of stationery. He passed his idea to the marketing department, who seemed to get nowhere with selling the product internally. Nikhil went to a colleague, Avinash, who was known to be a good decision maker, and got him to further his cause.

Avinash joined up with Reema, a good implementer of ideas, and they formed a new venture team. Together they personally took the new stationery live around to all their senior managers, selling the idea and convincing the managers to put capital into the project. Before they went into the production of the stationery, they decided that they needed a line manager whose management style they liked and who could keep costs down. They recruited Vikas to the team temporarily to set up the manufacturing process.
