Nontraditional Franchising
Some franchisors grant franchises for locations or
distribution channels which differ from the ones which have been typical in the
past. Some franchises operate within other retail (including franchised retail)
businesses, from kiosks, or in sporting arenas. Other nontraditional
arrangements authorize franchisees to deal with a unique class of customer, e.g.
schools, corporate accounts or internet visitors. Nontraditional franchises
often involve agreements between a franchisor and franchisee as well as between
a franchisor and the person owning a business location which hosts a
nontraditional franchise.
