FREE online courses on Building a Winning Team - YOUR PEOPLE - Know your
staff
There's nothing subordinates love better than being called by their first names;
the boss who can remember the names of their children has got it made! They
appreciate the effort that it cost the boss… it means they mean something to
him. Army commanders know the value of this.
The
better we know someone, we have that much better a chance of capturing their
attention, interest and commitment, to achieve organizational goals and in developing
their attitudes and skills through which these goals.. and your's, too.. are
achieved. Here are some suggestions for you to consider:
They
have the same hang-ups and worries as you
They
want to know you equally badly…otherwise how can they really relate to you;
their lives revolve around you. Make it easier for them
The effectiveness of both of you is dependant
on a good mutual rapport.
Work at achieving this; it takes time and
effort,
Shared values are powerful
motivators.
QUESTIONS:
