Stress is defined as a state of mental or emotional strain or tension
resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.
At a managerial position, stress is a part of the job but overcoming it is
what has to be groomed in the personality. A situation becomes a stressor if
an individual perceives a threat in one-way or another.
There is no way to escape
executive stress but you can improve your ability to cope with a stressful
situation. Remember the following:
Control the stress within you. Emotional spillover is dangerous.
Avoid carrying work at home.
An enriching hobby goes a long way in coping with stress.
Talk about your problems with colleagues, friends or relatives.
Make efforts to maintain good relations.
Exercise helps control stress.
Watch your diet – certain foods can controlling stress.
