How to Look After your Clothes
All good things need to be maintained and
taken care of. Even the best quality garment suffers early fatigue if not looked
after.
A maintenance routine should be followed
consisting of:
- Quality clothes should be cleaned and re-textured regularly
- A check on buttons and other repairs should be made before
wearing
- A good clothes brush should be used
- Protect your clothes from bad weather conditions
- Garments are to be maintained in cloth covers
- Strong detergents harm the fabric
- Over-exposure to the sunlight can ruin the color of the clothes
- Use of sprays and naphthalene balls can harm certain fabrics
- Moist clothes placed in the wardrobe can lead to foul smell
- Pockets of a dress should not be overloaded
